@samit, hi buddy you said that you can create com0, try to create it, it can’t be done. Although I have already given the link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365247.aspx where they have mentioned that com1 – com9 can’t be created but still com0 can’t nowhere be created.

Thanks for sharing new methods to create Con and other files. Will update this tricks soon.

hi, this is ‘Z’ the trick is ok but after the name a blank character is also added and can easily be recognized. Search for another method so that everybody is proud of it.

I found how to create a folder or file named CON , LPT1 , COM1 etc…

STEP1: goto command prompt

STEP2: type in prompt e:\> “mkdir \\.\e:\con”

STEP3: verify by typing “dir \\.\e:\con”

STEP4: delete the file or folder “rmdir \\.\e:\con”

V can create folder by name com0………………

Only com1 to com9 is not possible……….

I was created this are all CON, PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, LPT9 on desktop

that’s what i mean.
change the folder icon to invisible icon
and rename it to alt+255..

hi stucks, Alt + 255 doesn’t make folder invisible, it can create a nameless folder. You would like to read this

huh, it is possible if you change the icon to invisible icon, m i right.

You can also make an invisible folder with Alt+255..
