Search IFSC code of Any Bank in India Easily

IFSC also known as Indian Financial System Code is very essential code for recognizing a certain bank branch in India. This IFSC code is helpful while transferring all sort of electronic money. The main use of the code is, it gives specific identification figure to the branches of the banks and hence eliminates any chaos as it’s a unique for every branch, be it in the same or different city.

Let’s see how the IFSC code looks. Here’s the IFSC code of State Bank of India of Kokrajhar district of Assam State: SBIN0000119

Here the first four characters abbreviate the name of the branch. SBIN means State Bank of India. Fifth character is given zero for further use. Last six characters represent the branch of the bank.

Also check out the IFSC code of ICICI Bank: ICIC0000708

See the differences between the two banks. First four characters are different. Here first four character ICIC represents ICICI bank.
