Nowadays the term Blogging is spreading like a wildfire, Everybody is blogging every nanoseconds and many other people are falling prey in the blogging world. Its like a drug addiction, once you fell prey of it, you can’t come back or better say you gonna love it.
So you’ve have heard the term “Blog” and you want to know what blogs is all about. I have started blogging from last one year. So I am sharing the knowledge of blogging from my experience with you.
What is Blog?
This is the root of blogging, without knowing the true meaning of blog, you can’t blog. Blog has varied definitions. It varies from people to people.
Before I defined What is blog? Here’s other definitions from more wiser people to get us started:-

A blog is a website in which items are posted on a regular basis and displayed in reverse chronological order. The term blog is shortened form of weblog or web log. Authoring a blog, maintaining a blog or adding an article to an existing blog is called “blogging”. Individual articles on a blog are called “blog posts”, “posts” or “entries”. A person who posts these entries is called a “blogger” . A blog comprises text, hypertext, images, and links(to other web pages and to video, audio and other files). So What is Blog?
Did you get confused by those definitions, Well to put it in simple. Blogs definition is almost same but expressed in different ways.
Blogs are usually (but not always) written by one person and are updated pretty regularly. Blogs are often (not always) written on a particular topic - there are blogs on virtually any topic you can think of. From photography, to spirituality, to recipes, to personal diaries to hobbies - blogging has many applications and varieties as you can imagine. whole blog communities have sprung up around some of these topics putting people into contact with each other in relationships where they can learn, share ideas, make friends with and even do business with people with similar interests from around the world.
Terminology
Weblog - An online dated diary listing your periodic thoughts on a specific topic, often in reverse chronological order.
Blog (noun) - A journal or diary that is on the Internet - johnchow.com is one among the most popular blog.
Blog (verb) - To write a blog - I am going to blog before bed.
Blogger (noun) - A person who keeps a blog.
Blogging (verb) - The action of writing a blog. Blogging is a way of sharing my knowledge and passion with the world.
Blogosphere - The community, social network or virtual world of a bloggers.

Originally blog were known primarily to be places for people to write about their day-to-day activities. Their mundane, everyday tasks became fodder for journal entries. Somehow these writers gained a following and the hobby of blogging was born. Today people write about far more interesting topics. But we’ll get to that in a minute.
Who Blogs?
So who are these fearless people who would be willing to write about their lives in as public a forum as the Internet? They are people just like you. Everyday millions of people, some of whom have technical knowledge and many other have no technical ability whatsoever, write to their blogs. To meet this demand some amazing tools have been created that will allow anyone, even people with very little knowledge of computers, have their own blog. You only need to follow some basic instructions to have your own blog. I will write about how to create a blog in my next posts. Till now read on.
Why do people blog?
So you may be asking why people would want to have their own blog. I believe that the answer lies in the fact that every human has a voice and wishes their voice to be heard. The Internet is one of the medium that is unparalleled in its reach. Never before have average people like you or me have been able to reach a global audience with so little trouble. Blogging have the opportunity of reaching hundreds, thousands or even millions of people each and everyday.
Blogging is much like a website, gives you a worldwide reach. Beside creating and maintaining a blog is much easier, quicker and cheaper compared to managing a website.
since bloggers enjoy the freedom and power of posting their thoughts and view instantly, blogging empowers visitors with a sense of instant gratification.
There are still many people who like to share the details of their days. They many posts 20 -30 times a day, detailing when they had lunch and when they headed home from work. On the other hand, there are bloggers, who give no details about their lives but write instead about their hobby and interest. They may dedicate their blog to something they are passionate about.
What could be included in a blog?
So you might be thinking now what could be included in a blog. Well there is no any specific rule, anything could be included that comes to your mind.
In many instances, the discussion depends upon the theme of the blog. Also I have already stated that blog can be of anything, its your blog, you have the freedom to express thoughts because blogs are an excellent way of expressing personal opinion. These range from discussions about news, current events, sports, hobbies, careers, and various other topics. If you can think of it, and you can type, you can blog it, more or less.
