Hi, If you have missed my earlier posts on How to create a shortcut keys to Shutdown and Restart your computer then visit this link to read.
Many frequent computer users suspend or hibernate their computer instead of turning off because it saves the state of your computer as it was in hibernation. It also reduce the startup time as it has to store only the state.
So how about about having a shortcut key for suspend or hibernate in your desktop or laptop? If you are interested then follow these simple methods:-
- Right click on the empty area of your desktop.
- Select New->Shortcut
- In the “Type the location of the item” type “rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll, SetSuspendState”(without the quotes)
- Click Next
- Name (Suspend My Computer, for example)
- Click finish.
Now you have a shortcut key for suspend on your computer. Congrats!!!
