Sometimes when we create a blog we are in dilemma whether to create a static page or a post. There are many reason behind creating a static page and post. It depends on the type of site you want to create. Most of the niche blog creates a static page as they have a limited post and there is no chance of publishing another post.

Anyway our main concern is not whether we will create post or page? Our motive here is to convert static page into a post or post into a static page if required. I came across this topic because just recently I bought a new established blog where there are many static pages. I don’t need these static pages but I don’t want to delete them too. So I came across a wordpress plugin to convert static page to post. This plugin is named is p2p converter. This small plugin will place a button to convert your posts to pages and vice versa. Where am I lost???…you guys and gals might be thinking that I have completely ignored this blog. I published very few articles this month. I am actually busy with undergoing project so I just thought to update this blog with some of the earnings I did in this month.

Most of the earning you are seeing here are through selling articles and links in my other blogs(PR 1, PR 2 & PR 3). You can sell articles and links through the marketplace of DP forum. They have a very good interface. Just don’t try to play against their system otherwise you will be kicked out.  This blog computer tips and tricks was also earning a decent money earlier but now it’s hard to earn through selling articles and links in this blog because I lost my PR 3 in the August PR update. Although it is  earning good amount of money through AdSense.

I am also earning constantly from TLA i.e, Text Link Ads. It’s also a kind of link selling. I have sold around 10 links in my inner blog post in this blog which makes me around $36 per month. PR of the blog post doesn’t matter in TLA.

I also wrote 4-5 articles and sold them to my clients. If you are good in some field and can write about them then you can outsource yourself by writing article and selling them for dollars.

I am also making money through reviewme, buyblogsreview and blogsvertise. I get money from this company constantly month after month.

Apart from this I started the website flipping business. I put one blog at auction in flippa.com, lets see what will happen.

You must be aware that you can’t just keep all the payment received. You sometimes need to spend money to promote blogs, speed up the work etc. Just try to spend 25% of the earning. Rest keep as a profit. It’s because sometimes I don’t like working then I outsource the work. Actually I don’t like writing much article nowadays due to time constraint, maintaining many blogs can become a headache sometimes. You can outsource like writing article for you if you don’t get time to write your self. I spend few dollars every month in outsourcing. Currently I am trying to multiply my earning source.

Hey I can’t stick with you for a long time. So I am putting stop here. Actually after finishing engineering in computer science this year…I am still stuck with my course of Advanced Java in NIIT. I have to give exam of Advanced Java on 29th of this month i.e., August. Plus I will be busy in september month also as I am going to give two Java International certification exam – SCJP (Sun Certified Java Programmer) and SCWCD (Sun Certified Web Component Developer). Well the title should be “How I rank on the front page of Google search engine” instead of “How to rank on the front page of Google search engine”. Anyway both are fine as my blog post will aim in discussing the blog post title only.

This blog is 15 months old blog now. Got high page rank 3, there was never page rank drop because I was constantly building some links which helps this blog to get some decent page rank when ever there is update. Since I was targeting only search engine visitors most of the time, so I need to write post in such a way that it gets crawly quickly and get listed in the first page of Google search engine. I highly depend on the Google search engine because 90% organic traffic comes from the Google search engine only.

While writing post, you should be very careful. Today when I wrote and published two posts, it instantly got crawled by Google search engine and these two posts was placed in the first page, one post even got double position 1 and 2. It’s great to see your blog post securing double number 1 and 2 position in Google search engine isn’t it?

This one is more successful than earlier post ranking if we see the competition. Many of my posts are ranked in the front page of Google search engine. I am really happy to see the organic traffic I am getting in my blog. There are many factors behind this. While blogging, you should be very much aware of SEO. Optimization of your blog post is very important which decides which position you are going to get in the search engine.

I wanted to share how I did managed to get into the front page or first page of Google within few minutes or few hours but before discussing about this, I would like to hear the response from my visitors. The more positive response I get there is more chance of publishing a next post about how to rank well on the front page of Google search engine.

Hi friends, since I ranked very well in the front page of Google search engine for many keywords. I started to get lots of spam comments in this blog. I was getting around 5 – 20 spam comments daily and sometimes more. Although the comments in this blog are moderated but still it’s frustrating to see the spam comments. These kind of spam comments if get published in your blog, it can affect your blog a lot because the spam comments contains a lot of unrelated links like thousands of links to sites that are totally not related. Sometimes, in a single spam comment you will see around 10 – 100 links inserted. Now you know what they are?

So is there any way to prevent spam comments getting on the blog?

Yeah actually there are lots of ways to prevent spam comments on the blog. I will just discuss the one that I recently implemented on my blog and the spam comment totally got vanished. This blog is a wordpress blog so the methods I am going to discuss will be implemented for the wordpress blog only. As we know that spam commenting are actually not done by people most of the time. It’s done by software or some kind of bots that are designs for such spam commenting. They just target the blog and start commenting repetitive spam comments till it gets published. They didn’t know that whether it is moderated or not. They just go on attacking but the main disadvantage of such bot or robot is that they don’t have intelligence like people because they don’t have brains. You can prevent this spam comments by just inserting some random questions in the comment box before it get published. Since they can’t think they won’t be able to answer the question. The question can be simple like what is 1+1 = ?

Although the answer is too simple but still they won’t be able to answer it. So that’s what I did in my blog. I added a math comment spam protection. It asks a simple mathematical question to the commentor before they can publish. If they are able to answer, the comment get published otherwise it will show an error message.

So how can I also prevent spam by math comment spam protection? Well math comment spam protection is a wordpress plugin for preventing spam comment. You will need to download the pluging, upload to your blog and activate it.

Hi friends, it’s going to be a very interesting topic – What should I do to make money online. If you have read my last post. I told you let’s have a break and discuss few topics about how to make some money through Internet. After reading this entire post, you will have an idea what you really should do in order to make money online.

Today when I was searching make money blog in the Google search engine, I stumbled upon a blog called iamkaiser[dot]com. When I read his blog, I came to know lots of things. The guy behind the blog is kaiser and he is doing very smart business in his blog. He was targeting for a keyword “make money blog ” on the big G Google search engine and he ranked very well there. He is at 6th no. position for keyword phrase make money blog in Google search engine date 7/06/2009 among 192,000,000 competitors. Now it proofs very well that this guy really knows what he is doing. His SEO part is very good. His blog also got page rank 2. Anyway I want to share his journey of earning money online through his make money blog and other blogs he have.

If you visit his blog iamkaiser[dot]com, you will come to know how he was struggling to make money earlier but now he is earning money online. Remember in last post of “learn how to make smart money either online or offline”. Check out the method 3.  I discussed a little about the topic Adsense. Adsense is a very good way to earn money through blog. First he started earning only few dollars per month and now he is making around $50 – $100 per month. That’s a great being a medium blogger. I would say if you managed to cross $100 per month, that’s great because it is the minimum payout. At least you will be happy to see your check monthly . This guy is constantly seeing improvement in his adsense earning. That’s what we need to do in our blogs also. We don’t want to see decrease in our earning. Isn’t it?

Wow!!! Today I got 104 unique visitors in this computer tips and tricks blog. I have crossed the 100+ unique visitors and now I will aim at getting around 200 unique visitors monthly. I will try to achieve this goal by the end of July month. Actually I can achieve this goal of getting 200+ visitors very easily but I don’t like the traffic from the social networking sites and other places. I only like the traffic which comes from the search engines, the visitors from the search engines are much targeted, and they converted most of the time. They are the ones who help me out in making money through adsense in this computer tips and tricks blog.

I am very much impressed by the performance of this blog. 90% of the traffic in my blog is from the search engine. Among the 104 unique visitors, I got around 92 unique visitors from the search engine. Google search engine send me most of the targeted traffic. I really love this service by Google. What’s the secret about getting such wonderful targeted traffic from the search engines? Well you must be aware that this computer tips and tricks blog got page rank 3 in the current Google page rank May 2009. Yeah in 28 May 2009, there was page rank update by Google which have promoted most of my blog to higher page rank. This updating of page rank in this blog has certainly made this blog gain authority on the topic.

Nowadays most of the posts I write are instantly cached by the Google search engine and I am ranking in the front page of the Google for many premium keywords as well as Long keywords which I could never thing off. This blog didn’t ranked so well before in the Google search engine but nowadays Google is picking many of the important keywords from my blog post and ranking many of my blog post pages and the homepage of this computer tips and tricks blog in the front page of Google. Ranking in the front page by competing millions of other blog/websites really makes us proud. Isn’t it.

The constant updating of this blog has helped me a lot. I used to at least one post in 2 days. Sometimes there are even 2 or 3 posts update in the blog. Although the frequency of posting in the blog is not same but it’s sure that there is frequent updating in the blog after all big G Google loves the constant update of fresh content. You should know that an established blog that is updated regularly gets spidered by Google often, and increases the chances of new search rankings considerably. The same thing is happening with my computer tips and tricks blog. I have seen multiple situations where regularly updated blogs wind up ranking #1 in Google for relevant phrases literally within a couple hours of posting. It usually takes a well established website and blog to make this happen, but there is big potential if you do things the right way. My blog is 1 and 5 months old now. So it certainly has authority over many topics.

While blogs work best if updated multiple times per week, even those with a new post every week or two have advantages. Blogs don’t have to be a major undertaking, spending only an hour or so a week on posting can have you seeing results in no time.This is what I am doing. I have many other blogs in which I work. If you don’t see updating of post in this blog then assume that I am working on my other blogs seriously. Well friends, if you are web master or into blogging things then you might be aware of Google Page Rank. If you are totally new into Google Page rank terms then here’s the quote from wikipedia about page rank:-

PageRank is a link analysis algorithm used by the Google Internet search engine that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of “measuring” its relative importance within the set. The algorithm may be applied to any collection of entities with reciprocal quotations and references. The numerical weight that it assigns to any given element E is also called the PageRank of E and denoted by PR(E).

The name “PageRank” is a trademark of Google, and the PageRank process has been patented (U.S. patent 6,285,999 ). However, the patent is assigned to Stanford University and not to Google. Google has exclusive license rights on the patent from Stanford University. The university received 1.8 million shares of Google in exchange for use of the patent; the shares were sold in 2005 for $336 million.

So Google use to update page rank 4 times in a year. Last time was in december2008 – january 2009 and now in April of 2009.

This time the Google Page Rank didn’t surprised me much. I didn’t lose any page rank or gain any page rank. It was stable for this “computer tips and tricks” blog . I also didn’t got felt any sad about not getting higher page rank because I build very less quality links in these updation period. I only got around 20-30 quality links which is very hard to increase the page rank. I actually sold many links in last 1 month so that might be the reason I didn’t gain any high page rank. So I will need to get more back links.  So I will try to gain atleast page rank 4 in the next update. The next Google page rank updation will most probably in the month of August 2009. I have got plenty of time to build quality links.

By the way, when I checked the status of my other blogs I saw some 2 months old pr 0 blog got pr 1 in this google page rank updation. I was happy to see these updations. Hi friends, You might be knowing that I used to blog about computer tips and tricks in this blog. For few days or say month, I didn’t blog much or didn’t updated the blog. Inspite of that I am very much happy with the organic traffic I am getting from the search engine mostly from the google search engine.

My computer tips and tricks blog is ranked very well in front page for many of the keywords. Although I couldn’t ranked well in the first page for the keyword computer tips and tricks but I was positioned on the first page on the page number 4. Isn’t my computer tips and tricks blog in the first page of Google. What a bad luck. Is it because I didn’t post for a long or I didn’t have many quality back links. My computer tips and tricks blog is ranked in the 31, shit man. I need to build links if I want to come to the first page. I hate to see this stat. This been worst stat. I really need to promote my computer tips and tricks blog on the first page otherwise this blog is really doomed. Isn’t it blog or me??? Any way I was still happy because it was abandoned for many days. Now I need to worship it again.

The 10 Blogging terms I think all the bloggers should know. I have listed them and have explain in simple terms as follows

1. Feed: – Syndication of the content from a blog in formats like RSS or Atom. This allows for subscription from feed readers. The data coming from feed is also called a stream or a channel. This blog also has a feed. You can subscribe here.
2. Autocasting: – The conversion of test-based blogs via feeds into audio files. Used by blind or those who listen to podcasts. Most of these tools / service would read the RSS feed and covert them into speech using their inbuilt Tex-to-Speech (TTS) technology. Why Autocasting? Autocasting would allow readers to listen to your post while they are working in parallel. Thus it would help the author to convey their complete story to their reader rather than readers scanning the post text.
3. Blurker: – Someone who reads other’s blogs, without commenting or maintaining a blog of their own. Well obviously I don’t fall in this category.
4. Blogebrity: – Someone who became famous because of their blogs. Example: John Chow (There are lot of them but I think, almost most bloggers know him)
5. Permalink: – The link of any single post is called a permalink. Used so that readers and crossbloggers can link back to the source.
6. Blogroll: – A list of blogs in the sidebar, which is the frequently visited blogs or favorite blogs of the blogger. I too have a blogroll. Anyone who used to blog about technology, computer and blogging having minimum PR 2 can blogroll with me. Contact me if you are interested
7. Blogstorm: – A surge in blogging activity about a particular subject or object in the news. The subject always changes as the latest hot news always changes.
8. Reciprocal Link: – Two bloggers putting links to each other’s blogs on their sidebars. Always try to make reciprocal link of similar theme or niche only.
9. Blogosphere: – The blogging universe is referred to as the Blogosphere or Blogistan by bloggers.
10. Post: - Any single blog entry is called a post.

This time Page Rank has been updated so frequently. Page Rank was updated approximately two months ago. So don’t you think, Google did a Surprise Page Rank update for all webmasters?

Just today at morning around 2 am (IST), I was working on my blog, didn’t see any changes in Page Rank update. But when I woke up at 9 am (IST) and saw the statistic of my blog. I was shocked to see the change of my blog’s Page Rank Status. I thought there might be some problem in Page Rank checker, but to ease my inquisitive mind, I tried to confirm whether there is any Page Rank update or not. Boom, there it is. I was not wrong, many blogger have also confirmed that Page Rank updated already occurred today.

So now lets see what’s current stats of my blog.

Gedet Basumatary Dot Com Blog was updated to Page Rank 2 last time. Still same, no gain or loss. It might be because I have updated this blog less frequently and there is very less incoming link from other blog which was to boost my next Page Rank update. Anyway I wasn’t not surprised about the stats of this blog.

Just recently on 15th sept 2008, I have posted that I have started another blog called MONEY TALKS 365 DAYS .com whose first posts was on 13th sept. Yeah that blog was started with few static pages (I wanted to make it static wordpress blog but things didn’t work out for me) few months back but I deleted all the pages and converted into wordpress blog. To my surprise Google have shown love to this blog with Page Rank 1. Wow

This new blog have got some genuine incoming links (one-way) so I think it is the reason I got Page Rank. I already have linked from this blog. I also submitted around two articles in ezinearticles.com which gave me around genuine four incoming links and few more from other sources. Also it was included in major search engines.

So guys did you also see some changes in your blog Page Rank. If you didn’t know about it. You can just put your blog url in the Page Rank checker tool (see it is below my subscription form in the upper right corner ) and see is there any improvement or not. Best of Luck.

Google have updated its page rank and have promoted Gedet Basumatary Dot Com to Page Rank 2. This blog is 5 months old and has its own style and is famous for computer tips and tricks and some blogging tutorials.

Those who have known me and visited this blog earlier know that how I have run this blog. But from the last 3 months I have updated only 8 posts. I thought this blog have zero visitors nowadays due to inactivity but I was totally wrong. When I checked my blog stat in sitemeter, I was surprised to find that Google is sending me lot of visitors daily around 40-60 in numbers, other traffic from yahoo, linkreferral and other source.

I am getting this organic traffic because when you search “computer tips and tricks” in Google and Yahoo search bar, you’ll find that this blog is listed in page number 3 in both.
